Lilian said she made some money from her Text Link ads. I am so jealous. But the blame is on me. I have become a damn lazy barger blogger. I never bother to publicise my blogs. I have stopped pinging pps. I don’t blog hop and drop comments on people’s blog. So my readers have sort of stagnated. Rarely do I get new readers coming here or there and then saying they like what they saw and giving me a link. Maybe i have become complacent and taking things for granted.
All blog gurus professes that we should visit and comment and people will visit you back. All blog gurus says that we should write something informative and interesting and all blog gurus tells us to use attractive keywords and headers to attract search hits. Alas, your old uncle here had almost forsaken all that he has learned to make a successful blog. boo hoo hoo..
Anyway, like Lilian says, content is king. Money comes second and loyal readers seldom, if ever, click on the ads placed on a blog. They will cum everyday, fiddle my balls a little bit, drop a piece or two of shits in my comments, then happily wipe their ass and leave. Like go and giu gai no need to pay like that. 
So for this and my the other blog, i will discard what i have been taught and continue bullshitting. The few hundred people cumming here will hopefully keep cumming and they will bring their friends. No pinging this blog. Human ping better.
However, that is not to say I am no more interested in making some loose change. I will be making a more concerted effort to promote this blog and this blog. Write more articles and push up the rankings. This blog in particular had been quite encouraging in terms of search hits. It went up to PR4 after only 4o+ postings. Then I sort of neglected it when I got itchy to learn wordpress and started this blog. Lilian encouraged me to pay more attention to it, and i have. Then, I started another one in the same vein, just to see if it has the same potential as that one. I am banking on these 2 blogs to bring in some beer money. After all I am money faced wot.

7 hours after the fact.I do like my Text Link Ads, especially because it isn’t solely dependent on clicks (tho of course if nobody clicks, they aren’t going to come back next month). I guess if you want the visitors, you’ll do the work, and if you are happy, leave it alone!

16 hours after the fact.ya lah. why people so ‘yin sart’ one? if you no go stick your nose in their blog, they not interested in reading yours too. ah pek got so many readers, returning all those visits must take up so much of your time loh?
can’t blame people lah. you no support them, how they wanna to support back leh? but when i see a new reader coming, and if they leave an address, i sure go and support back wan. and sometimes when i see a blogger who i think can really write good good blog (like you), i try to introduce them to my readers.
2 days after the fact.Ah Pek, your Handyman blog is useful but you must make it even more visitor friendly. At the moment your search google/search your site box can search google only but not your blog. Do look into that so that people who want to search (for example) some old blogposts you had written about “plumbing” can go and key in “plumbing” and search “Screw the Handyman” (remember to change “YOUR DOMAIN NAME” to your blogname) and they will be led to all the posts you had written about “plumbing” turning up on the search results. Very useful feature to have for that particular blog. Just my two sens.
hei, thanks! But the search box comes with the template and i am not changing it to my adsense ID because i feel that all the earnings from the queries should at least go to the designer for letting us use the template for free. But like you suggested, i will modify the codes a bit to let it search the blog for articles of interest. I’m in the pocess of arranging all the articles in categories and since blogger don’t have this function, it is quite tedious and needs third party support. Should be ready in a week or so.
2 days after the fact.Currently you have zero PR. You need to achieve at least 3 to 4 PR before you could advertise. Work hard for at least 3 months before their next review. Hopefully! All the best.
